Common interface uses and functions of industrial displays

With the development of industrial displays, it has more and more interfaces. In the current situation, many people are obscure about the use of industrial display interfaces. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct a comprehensive analysis of most of the interfaces currently in use in industrial displays. Currently, industrial displays involve many interfaces, mainly VGA, DVI, HDMI, USB, DP, etc. Some of these interfaces are also divided into different types and versions.

VGA interface: VGA (Video Graphics Array) also has a name called D-Sub. The VGA interface has a total of 15 pins, divided into 3 rows with 5 holes in each row. It is a widely used interface type on graphics cards, and most graphics cards have this type of interface. It transmits red, green, and blue analog signals and synchronization signals (horizontal and vertical signals). Use VGA to connect the device, the cable length should not exceed 10 meters, and pay attention to whether the connector is installed firmly, otherwise it may cause ghosting in the image.

Features:

1. In theory, it can support 2048x1536 resolution screen transmission.

2, VGA is susceptible to interference because it is an analog signal transmission, and signal conversion is likely to cause signal loss.

3. At 1080P resolution, users can clearly feel the loss of the picture with the naked eye.

4. It is recommended to use monitors with a resolution below 1080P. VGA is currently a widely used display interface. Almost most of the low-end displays have a VGA interface. However, due to its obvious shortcomings, the high resolution cannot reach the required refresh rate and only image input without sound input. It is difficult to have room for use in mid-to-high-end displays.

DVI socket: DVI (Digital Visual Interface) interface and VGA are both commonly used interfaces in computers. Unlike VGA, DVI can transmit digital signals without performing digital-to-analog conversion, so the picture quality is very high. At present, many high-definition TVs also provide DVI interfaces. It should be noted that there are multiple specifications for the DVI interface, the common ones are DVI-D (Digital) and DVI-I (Intergrated). DVI-D can only transmit digital signals, you can use it to connect graphics cards and flat-screen TVs. DVI-I can be converted to VGA in DVI-D.
